"Making yourself a priority is not selfish. In fact, making yourself your priority is the ultimate expression of love".

This is my Story
Â
I am Cheryl, the Founder and CEO of CEFB Integrative Life Coaching, and I wear many hats with pride—Integrative Health Coach, Life Coach, Holistic Lifestyle Educator, Plant-Based Foods Chef & Educator, Yoga Instructor, Mind-Body Medicine Practitioner, Speaker, Author, Foodie, Mother, Wife, Health Nut, Daughter, Sister, Auntie, and Friend. These titles are not just labels; they represent the life I've consciously chosen to own and live fully.
From a young age, I envisioned a life where I was in charge, steering my own ship. I didn’t want to be confined by someone else’s rules, although I did navigate that path for years. My dreams were vivid: running my own corporation, living a vibrant and healthy life, having a beautiful home, cherishing time with my family, and exploring the world. Yet, life’s challenges often pushed these dreams aside.
As a child, I faced health challenges, battling asthma and being underweight due to my picky eating habits. My adolescent years were marked by rheumatic fever, which affected my heart and left me fatigued. Playing and running like other kids was a distant dream, as I spent over a decade in treatment to manage the effects on my heart, joints, and tissues.
In my early teens, I grappled with an eating disorder, a struggle that persisted into my late twenties. I spent years with low self-confidence, constantly pleasing others at the expense of my own happiness. This led to a life that looked perfect on the outside but felt mediocre within. I settled for “good enough,” which manifested in unhealthy eating habits, health issues, including weight gain, type 2 diabetes (T2D), and loneliness (yes, loneliness is a legit health issue).
Then came a pivotal moment of soul-searching. I asked myself tough questions about what I truly wanted versus what I had settled for. I realized that my health and happiness were my responsibility. I needed to prioritize myself first. Through years of dedicated self-care, I emerged healthier and more confident than ever. I understood that settling for “good enough” was no longer an option for me.
This realization ignited a burning passion to help others transform their lifestyles. My goal is to guide you in overcoming subconscious negative self-talk and self-limiting beliefs that hinder your health goals. Together, we will craft a personalized, step-by-step plan to help you prioritize yourself, guilt-free.
With over 25 years of studying personal development, nutrition, alternative health practices, and ancient healing modalities, I’ve honed my passions for food, cooking, and utilizing foods for their healing properties. I hold a Master’s degree in Transpersonal Psychology and completed the coursework for a Ph.D. in Psychology. However, I chose to pivot, becoming certified as a life and health coach and a mind-body medicine practitioner. Today, I am proud to own and lead CEFB Integrative Life Coaching, formerly Halls of Healing. Here, I integrate my passions and studies to help others find and lead healthy, happy lifestyles by emphasizing the mind, body, and spirit connection. I work with womxn, particularly wives and mothers, ready to choose themselves and understand that their mindset dictates how they show up for themselves and why they may not be reaching their health goals.
Choosing to become an Integrative Life Coach set me on a path to better health. Let me help you embark on your journey to a happier, healthier lifestyle. Contact me today, and together, let’s embrace the 3G Wellness Blueprint to transform your life.
