Did you know that studies show that this one thing can make you 25% happier? It boosts your immunity to anger, disappointment, and frustration.
It's even been shown to heal pain and illness in your body. It can certainly heal relationships, especially with your beautiful and miraculous body.
That one thing is GRATITUDE, and amazing things happen when you integrate it into your meditation practice.

Here's a fun exercise to try:
1. As you sit down to meditate, breathe in deeply and imagine your heart filling up with glowing, green light. Allow this energy to pulse and radiate to light you from within. As you deepen into the glowing, green energy in the center of your chest, begin to give thanks for your life. Give thanks for anything that pops into your head. No filter, just give thanks for it and show it appreciation.

2. Think about five things to be grateful for on this day. See these events as pictures. It may be the way your dog greets you or that nice person that let you have the parking space in the crowded lot. It could even be seeing the birds fly to their nests as darkness comes. Just let the images flow in and notice the feelings they give. If an unwanted image pops in, let it pass like a random car on the road. If it is important, you can think on it later.

3. Now, see the people behind the images you are grateful for and express thanks to each of them.

4. Remind yourself that whatever you focus on expands. When you focus on gratitude and positivity, you will get more of that in return.

What you appreciate, appreciates.

Be mindful that you will attract more abundance, love, and health by being grateful for your current state in these areas. Your body, your health, and your relationships can only be improved by honoring where they are in this moment.

How You Can Have a Healthier Mindset

Do you feel you could use a healthier attitude toward life? Would you like to approach things in a different way? Is a healthier lifestyle attainable?


  • The stress of modern life can sometimes make it difficult to lead a healthy lifestyle. However, you can start living healthy, today, by adopting a healthy mindset.
 
Even if you find yourself leaning toward a pessimistic attitude, you can still achieve a healthy mindset. You just need to go about it in the right way.
 
How You Can Have a Healthier Mindset
 
Many people sit back, look at their lives, and wish they could view things in a more positive manner. Then they beat themselves up for being negative or not having the attitude and responses they wish they had. This typical response doesn’t do anybody any good.


  • Instead of feeling angry with yourself for responding to life the way you normally do, think positively about your desire to have a healthier mindset.
 
Building a Healthy and Safe Support Network
 
One of the most effective paths to a healthier mindset is to find ways to deal with the stress in your life. For some people, this is as simple as writing in a journal or blog every day. Other people find that talking with friends or joining a support group is a rewarding experience.


  • It’s important to give voice to your thoughts and emotions. How you do this is up to you.
 
Eating Healthy = Feeling Healthy
 
Another way to achieve a healthier mindset is to eat the right foods and get enough rest. When you feed your body healthy, nutritious foods and get the rest you need, you feel better all over. Your attitude, as well as your body, feels refreshed.
 
Food and rest will not change the way you respond to things if you tend to respond negatively, but it will be a great start. You don’t have to give up all junk food and your late night activities, but try swapping carrot sticks for french fries and an hour of sleep for late night tv.
 
You’ll find that you’ll be able to acquire a healthier mindset when you take active steps to deal with your stress and treat your body with the tender loving care it deserves. Suddenly the world becomes a much more positive place when you pair these things with positive thinking.


  • Positive thinking begins when you affirm the positives in your life. You can use the power of positive affirmations to reprogram your mind so you can think in a healthier and more positive way.
 
For example, each morning you could say, "I make positive choices for the best of my body, mind, and soul." You can use positive affirmations in moments of weakness when you are tempted to fill up on junk food, respond negatively to something, or trade sleep for something less important. When you create a healthy mindset by making good choices about food, rest, and positive thinking, you’ll enjoy the new ways you think, feel, and live. You’ll discover that your happier, healthier lifestyle has arrived!

Brain Food: The Secret Link Between Food and Success

Happy New Year! Like many, I'm on a mission to achieve great success in my life this year.  I want success in health, success in my personal life and success in my professional life. That's the story for most of us, right? However, when it comes to achieving the success we want it sometimes doesn't work out the way we envisioned. Part of the reason is because we have all of these great ideas that we try to implement all at once, especially when it comes to achieving a healthy lifestyle.

When you want to achieve success, making one change at a time is a technique that brings results. You may be surprised to discover that
one of the most beneficial changes you can make towards success is what you eat!
 
The type of food you eat has an impact on brain function and how you feel overall. For example, the guys over at Google eat sushi for lunch and they’re always coming up with innovative ideas that make our lives easier!
 
What to Eat 
Aside from sushi, what else can you eat to make you more capable of finding success? The secret lies in raw foods – uncooked, natural foods.
  • Uncooked foods enable your body to better absorb all of the vitamins and minerals that the food has to offer.

Raw foods also contain enzymes that are very important for normal bodily function. Without these enzymes, a person can be “off” mentally and physically. You simply can’t function right if you’re not getting the proper nutrition.

In addition, it’s difficult coming up with innovative ideas for your success when your body and your brain are starving for essential nutrients. Why make it harder on yourself? The simple solution is to give your body what it needs.
 
Some of the most important types of raw food to eat are fruits and vegetables. All by themselves, fruits and vegetables provide much of what your body hungers for.

Benefits that you will receive from eating fruits and vegetables include:
  • Alertness
  • Clear thinking
  • Strong focus
  • Thinking outside the box
  • Ability to find creative and innovative solutions

The most successful and innovative people have many things in common. One of the traits they share is that they feed their brains as well as their body.
 
Changing your Diet 
If your diet leaves something to be desired, you may want to make some changes so that you can take advantage of the benefits that a “success” diet can bring.
 
Here are some tips to help you make those changes:
 
1.Make gradual changes. Gradual changes make it easier for your body and mind to incorporate new routines and new choices. As you make the changes, you’ll notice:
  • You think differently.
  • Your mind stays on the task at hand without deviating too much.
  • Your response time to certain situations is quicker than before.
 
2.Eat plenty of fruits and vegetables. Fruits and vegetables have essential vitamins and minerals for your body and your brain. Be sure to consume some of those fruits and vegetables in their raw state. Drop me a line or two if you have questions about eating raw fruits and vegetables or if you'd like some recipes.

3.Increase your Omega 3 fatty acids. Eat plenty of foods that are high in Omega 3 fatty acids. Omega 3 fatty acids improve brain function.

​Where do you find these important Omega 3 fatty acids?
  • In certain types of fish such as Salmon (always, always use wild caught), Mahi Mahi, Sardines, Cod, and other varieties
  • In ground flaxseed
  • Chia Seeds
  • Hemp Seeds
  • Walnuts
  • Egg Yolks
 
So, start with fruits and vegetables and if you’re not sure which ones you’ll like, buy a little at a time and taste test them. Many people turn their nose up at foods that are healthy for them. To their surprise, they later find that many of them taste good!
 
The best surprise, though, comes when you notice the difference in how you think, how you feel, and how you are enjoying your growing success!
